Right from the start we like to make sure our products are environmentally friendly and ethically sourced – this is important to us .

Let us strip it back to the basics to tell you what we use ..

Wood :

Our standard windows are made out of European Redwood. European Redwood, also known as Scots Pine, Pinus Sylvestris or Scandinavian Redwood, is a very popular softwood specie that is known for its good quality – our wood comes from FSC or PEFC certified forests.

Our standard doors are made out of Accoya wood for which we are a certified provider – you can read all about Accoya here : Accoya long life modified wood has become the timber industry benchmark for performance and sustainability. No other timber can offer this combination of stability, durability and versatility. This modified wood is sustainably sourced with FSCĀ® certification and it has minimal environmental impact throughout its entire life; from production, through its use, right the way to the end of its life.

Glass :

Paint :

Our windows/doors are primed and spray painted with Teknos paint – you can read all about it here : Teknos Paint – Teknos These are high quality, low VOC paints with sustainably at their core.

To finish your windows in true Cambridge Classics style we hand finish our windows using The Little Greene Paint Company read about them here : They say ” All our water-based paints are low odour. Our most environmentally-friendly paints, our Intelligent paints, have all been certified as Child Safe under BS EN 71-3: 2013 (also known as the Toy Paint Regulations) “
